Scarlet Ladies Start the Partying for 2011!

Here’s to the Past and to the Future…

December 9th’s Annual Scarlet Ladies’ Christmas party started with a wonderfully decorated Lake Club, which complemented our theme of “Christmas Trees”.  In addition to the usual great meal served by the Cottonwood Eatery, we had a visit from a gift-giving live Christmas tree who handed out “Merry Money” scratcher tickets to each of the 45 women attending.  It is any surprise that the biggest winner was Viola Longmire?  But there were other goodies on the tables for each lady, plus lots of door prizes, including live Christmas trees which adorned each table and two 50/50 winners of $50 each!  Special thanks to our holiday pianist, John Stewart and our all-around helper Steven Taylor.

I am excited to announce that many ladies stepped up to volunteers as hostesses for 2012.  We just have July, September and November available, so let me know if you are interested in picking a fun restaurant for us to try.
Barb Shima and Dianne Hollister start off with January 13th luncheon to be at Guadalajara’s Mexican Restaurant located at 435 E. Cypress in Redding.  You will be able to order off the menu, and one of the gals will be calling to get a head count.

Three Scarlet Ladies have banded together and picked Red Lion as our February location and then in March, we will have a special occasion at Red Lobster...the coronation of your next Red Hat Queen, Charlotte Vais!

The "Scarlet Ladies of Lake California" (Chapter 18866
welcomes you to our audacious site!

We are members of "The Red Hat Society", which is a unique International "DISORGANIZATION" of women.

We embrace the worth of deepening friendships, share in one another's lives and share in the rediscovery and value of play.

Underneath the frivolity we share a bond of affection, forged by common life experiences and genuine enthusiasm for whereever life takes us next.

Basically, we go to lunch once a month for fun and fellowship!  Sometimes we throw in some surprises and occasionally, a road trip!
